Race to the Top Scope of Work Approval

The Race to the Top Scope of Work (SOW) was officially approved by the U.S. Department of Education on September 20, 2013. The SOW approval will allow the Race to the Top grant to continue moving forward on all fronts, and is a tremendous milestone. Executive Committee Issues Preliminary Awards for Teaching & Leading

At its September meeting, the Road Map Region Race to the Top Executive Committee issued preliminary awards of $2.2 million to districts for the Project 1 Investment Fund for Teaching & Leading. Districts may access this fund to build teacher and principal content knowledge, with the emphasis on scalable, high impact improvements in math, science and English language learner instruction as well as teacher/principal leadership.
